Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SUMA (sumacards.com) and the SUMA Android application (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Manuel Sumalpong III ("we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

SUMA is a digital review platform providing flashcards, quizzes, and study tools designed for Philippine Mechanical Engineering board exam preparation. Access to content requires a valid access code obtained through the operator.

2. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to register. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials, all activity that occurs under your account, and keeping your registered email address accurate and accessible.

Account sharing is strictly prohibited. Sharing your login credentials with any other person — regardless of reason — will result in immediate account termination without warning and without refund.

To request changes to your display name or email address, contact us through our official communication channels. Password changes can be made directly through the Service.

Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

3. Access Codes

Access to content is granted through access codes provided by the operator. The following terms apply:

Pre-payment access: Access codes are typically provided before payment is confirmed. Access may be revoked at any time without notice if payment is not received within the period determined by the operator at their sole discretion.

Access duration: Access codes are valid for a period determined at the time of issuance, typically through the conclusion of the relevant board examination period. The operator reserves the right to set and adjust access expiry dates at their discretion.

Non-refundable: Access codes are non-refundable once activated. Refund requests prior to activation may be considered on a case-by-case basis at the operator's sole discretion.

Single use: Each access code is for one account only and may not be transferred or resold.

4. Pricing

The operator reserves the right to change access code prices at any time. Price changes apply to future purchases and do not affect access codes already issued.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to share your account credentials or access code with any other person, reproduce or distribute any content from the Service without written permission, attempt to reverse engineer or scrape content from the platform, use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or attempt to circumvent any access restrictions or security measures.

6. Content and Intellectual Property

The SUMA platform, software, interface, and original content created by the operator are owned by Manuel Sumalpong III.

Review content on SUMA is compiled from various educational sources for personal study purposes only. SUMA is an independent review tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or claiming to represent the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). SUMA does not claim to provide official PRC examination questions.

Content is provided for personal study purposes only. Reproduction or distribution of any content from the Service without permission is prohibited.

7. Content Accuracy Disclaimer

Content is compiled for educational purposes and may not reflect the most current board examination syllabus or standards. We do not guarantee that content is error-free, complete, or up to date. Use of the Service does not guarantee success in any examination. SUMA is not affiliated with any review center or review institution.

8. Service Availability

The Service depends on third-party infrastructure. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Scheduled or unscheduled downtime may occur. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service unavailability.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion for violation of these Terms, including but not limited to credential sharing, abuse of the Service, or non-payment. Termination due to credential sharing is immediate and without warning.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Manuel Sumalpong III shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated through our official channels.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
